 Asheville is the largest town in Western North Carolina.  Since it services several counties, it offers amenities beyond the usual for a town of its size. Asheville offers a large hospital with many medical specialists as well as two colleges, University of North Carolina at Asheville and Asheville Buncombe Technical College.
